Members of Conference of Igbogbo Indigenes in Public Service (CONFIIPS) celebrated the 65th anniversary of Nigeria with sharing experiences and initiatives with retired seasoned public administrators.
At the Sharing Experience held at the Adeboruwa Palace, which is the third edition, were executives and members of CONFIIPS, listening to retired seasoned public servants – Prince Shakiru Odusanya (Former General Manager, Lagos State Printing Corporation) and Engr. Abiodun Dankuwo (Former Director, Engineering Services, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs).
The duo came to share their experiences on the theme: “Who Am I In Public Service?”

In his Royal remarks, HRM Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, who was also a senior State Counsel before ascending the throne of his ancestors, urged members of the Conference to be diligent and industrious in their discharge of statutory duties in any Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) they are.
The President of the Association – Dr. Oluwole Ogunyemi, an Associate Professor in the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, thanked members for the success of the parley.
He enjoined them to watch out for another session in the Public Service Day of the forthcoming Igbogbo Day Celebration slated to hold on Friday 21st November, 2025.

Prominent among members that participated in the programme included Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Engr. Gbenga Ogunlewe, Director, Mechanical Engineering Department, Lagos State Public Works who was also the Pioneer Chairman of the Association, Mr Gbenga Oduniyi, a senior staff with LIRS, Comrade Kazeem Ogunmuyiwa, State Trustee, NULGE, Mr Hammed Sholanke, a senior procurement officer, Mr Idris Adeshina and Dr. Adeleke Dankuwo, a senior medical consultant with Lagos State Government, among others.
